Fresh ideas for familiar itineraries
Give returning travelers something new to discover. Explore our Group Tour Planner for nearby villages, lesser-known attractions and excursions that can add a day or two to a familiar route. Send us your preferred destination, and we’ll help you develop an itinerary or connect you with an agency offering packages to fellow tour operators.
Have a favorite discovery of your own? Share it with us, and we’ll credit you when we feature your contribution.
Group-friendly hotels and competitive rates
For groups requiring 15 rooms or more, ATA can use existing group agreements or negotiate competitive hotel rates for your destination, travel dates and group size. If we don’t already work with a hotel where you want to go, we’ll approach suitable properties on your behalf.
Participating hotels may offer complimentary rooms for tour leaders or drivers, welcome arrangements and other group benefits. These vary by property and are subject to availability and the terms confirmed for your booking.
Restaurants that welcome your group
A good group restaurant needs more than a good menu. We can help research dining stops along your route, including seating capacity, meal timing and convenient bus parking. Where available, we can also ask about special welcomes, complimentary meals for the tour director and driver, and other group arrangements.
Tell us your group size and schedule in advance so we can help find a suitable fit.
Two easy ways to make reservations
Contact an ATA member hotel or restaurant directly and identify yourself as an ATA member, or ask us to help arrange the reservation. Send us your destination, travel dates, group size and requirements, and we’ll work with the suppliers on your behalf—at no additional cost to you for our assistance.
We can also help arrange visits to tourist attractions and venues. You remain responsible for the hotel, meal, admission and other services you book. Email ATA about your next tour.
Buses, guides and support along the way
Taking your clients to Mexico or overseas while leading the tour yourself? Contact us for help finding transportation and available step-on guides. If you can’t find an ATA member bus company serving your destination, we’ll help locate one. Our assistance carries no additional charge; you pay for the transportation and guiding services you arrange.
Visibility, referrals and industry connections
Membership includes your company’s name, address and phone number, plus up to three itineraries or a direct link to your website. Let other tour agencies know what you specialize in and explore opportunities to offer your packages through their businesses.
When ATA receives inquiries from tour operators, churches, corporations or individual travelers, we’ll forward relevant requests to members serving the destination. We also promote group travel through initiatives such as trade show participation and direct mail campaigns.
A membership you can proudly display
You’ll receive a certificate identifying you as a member of the American Tour Association. Above all, membership gives you a place to turn for practical help, fresh ideas and connections as you plan your next group tour.
