Begin with a story, not a shopping list

A guided heritage walk can connect the streets and waterfront with the wider history of the island. Leave time for the people and labour behind the buildings as well as their architecture.

Town and garrison are separate stops

Allow transport or a suitable walk between the centre and the Garrison area. Choose one museum or heritage visit rather than trying to fit the entire capital into a short cruise call.

Give the day room to unfold

Choose one main outing for each day and leave time for meals and the journey back. Confirm access, transport and any guided arrangements before setting out.
