The Black Hills Passion Play was a historical production in Spearfish whose final season was in 2008. It is not a current performance attraction.

The Native Americans regarded the Black Hills as sacred, and some of the commercial attractions now located in the area do little to enhance one's opinion of "progress" under the rule of the white man.
The road network through the Black Hills is quite complicated, and the use of a good large scale road map marking all the attractions is recommended. Such maps are easily obtainable free of charge in the area.
The best place to stay in the Black Hills area is probably Rapid City.
