Raymondville is the commercial center for rain sorghum, cotton, citrus, vegetables and corn. Favorable summers and winters allow a growing season of over 300 days. Recreation includes municipal swimming pool, golf course, city park, and saltwater fishing in Laguna Madre and the Gulf of Mexico at Port Mansfield. Tourist programs between Nov. - Mar. with socials, arts-crafts classes, trips to Mexico, etc. are a favorite among the many Winter Visitors.
