A spring landscape whose colour is only the beginning.
Syri i Kaltër is a protected spring area inland from Sarandë. Its vivid water draws visitors, but a thoughtful visit also looks at the woodland and the way the water emerges into the wider landscape.
Use designated paths and viewpoints to appreciate the spring without treating it as a swimming pool. The experience is a landscape walk, not a guarantee of solitude or unrestricted access to the water.
Check the actual entrance, current visitor arrangements and distance from parking. A map pin at the spring is not the place where a vehicle necessarily stops. Choose a cooler time and leave a margin for a slow walk.
Access & practical needs.
Ask about gradients, walking surface and transport within the visitor area. Respect restrictions and do not enter the spring. Conditions and crowd levels affect the visit.
Getting here & a useful base.
Sarandë is the linked base. Arrange the complete inland journey and return rather than assuming a local town bus reaches the viewpoint.
