SOUTHERN ALBANIA
Syri i Kaltër is a protected spring area inland from Sarandë. Its vivid water draws visitors, but a thoughtful visit also looks at the woodland and the way the water emerges into the wider landscape.

Give Berat and Gjirokastër separate stays, then add Përmet for a quieter valley chapter. Confirm each road stage rather than drawing the shortest line.
Start with Tirana and Shkodër, then arrange Theth as a distinct mountain stay with suitable transport and conditions.
Choose Vlorë and Sarandë for a coastal journey, or Korçë and Pogradec for an inland one. Joining them needs additional road days.
