Water is part of the story

Caldea’s glass tower is the unmistakable landmark. Choose the admission type that suits your party: ages, areas and included services vary. Reserve with the operator and check its current rules before arriving.

Two towns, one easy combination

Escaldes and the capital sit alongside one another. Explore central streets and the river, then slow down around the older Engordany area. It is a different rhythm from a day spent driving between viewpoints.

Beyond the spa

Engolasters lake and Sant Miquel d’Engolasters church are out-of-centre outings that need their own transport planning. The Madriu valley offers a more serious walking alternative: choose the route and conditions before leaving town.

A day that leaves room to enjoy it

Keep the morning for the town and the afternoon for a pre-booked spa session. Put a mountain walk on a different day: wet spa slippers have yet to become convincing hiking equipment.

Allow a relaxed day; book spa time separately.
