Before you set out
Planning your Anguilla visit
A few practical choices leave more time for the beach, a boat trip and a good conversation.

Choose a base by the day you want
A West End resort, Shoal Bay apartment and Sandy Ground guesthouse will give different settings. Use the destination pages to compare the area first, then ask the property about its exact location, room type, meals and transport.
Getting here and onward connections
Anguilla has air links and ferry connections with neighbouring St. Martin / Sint Maarten. Confirm current services, transfer arrangements and the entry documents for every jurisdiction on your route. Avoid making a tight connection depend on a boat operating regardless of weather.
A beach day still needs a little planning
Check conditions locally before swimming or snorkelling. Arrange shade, water and the return journey. For an offshore cay, confirm the operator, opening and return arrangements before leaving the main island.
A little local life
English is the official language. A greeting before an enquiry, appropriate clothing away from the beach and respect for working harbours help set the right tone. Boat racing is part of the island’s sporting culture; ask about current events if you would like to see it.
Payments, bookings and groups
Check the currency, taxes and service charges in a quote before confirming. Groups should discuss room combinations, meal plans and transport directly. Public listings do not establish ATA membership or guarantee a particular service.
