Before you set out

Planning your Antigua and Barbuda visit

Choose your base first, then leave space for the islands rather than filling every hour.

The kind of stay you want

A city-and-beach base near St. John’s, a historic stay in English Harbour and a quieter Barbuda visit offer different experiences. Use the local pages to compare the setting, then ask the property about rooms, meals and transfers.

Inter-island journeys

Confirm the current sea or air service, baggage arrangements and onward transport. Leave room around international connections and ask how weather disruptions are handled.

Days outdoors

Bring shade, water and suitable footwear. An exposed coastal viewpoint is a different activity from swimming at a sheltered beach; ask about conditions for each outing.

History with context

The dockyard and plantation-era remains need more than a photograph. Use local interpretation to understand the people, colonial power and labour behind the buildings.

Bookings and groups

Check ages accepted, room combinations, taxes, meal plans and transport directly. Public contact listings do not establish ATA membership or guarantee group capacity.
