San Nicolas

Public art, local heritage and a southern town worth visiting in its own right.

Look beyond the beach turn-off

San Nicolas has a cultural life and public-art scene that deserve time on foot. Ask about current museum or gallery opening and locally led art walks. The photograph shows the historic Nicolas Store, rather than a resort.

Give the town and coast different time

Combine a cultural visit with the Baby Beach area when conditions suit, but do not let the beach replace the town. Arrange transport between the two and check where your chosen hotel actually sits.

Give the day room to unfold

Choose an outing that suits your party, confirm current access and arrange your return transport. Leave time for shade, water and an unhurried meal.
