Start in the town

Quba, often written Guba, deserves time before the mountain road. Look for the historic mosque and ask about opportunities to see carpet weaving.

Across the river

The region includes the Mountain Jewish community of Red Village. Visit with respect for everyday life and religious practice; a knowledgeable local guide adds context.

Plan the high country separately

Khinalig is not a quick walk from Quba. Arrange an appropriate vehicle and local advice, check road conditions, and keep flexibility for mountain weather.

Give the day room to unfold

Choose one main outing for each day and leave time for meals and the journey back. Confirm access, transport and any guided arrangements before setting out.
