Bahamas · A closer look

Andros

Forests, blue holes, coastal waters and local craft traditions reward a focused island stay.

Choose a district, not just the island name

North, Central and South Andros and Mangrove Cay have different arrival points. Creeks divide the landmass, so do not assume an end-to-end road transfer is possible.

A guided look at the landscape

Arrange an appropriate nature, birding or water outing with local knowledge. A batik visit offers another side of the island. Confirm access and never assume a blue hole is suitable for casual swimming or diving.

Give the day room to unfold

Choose one main outing for each day and leave time for meals and the journey back. Confirm access, transport and any guided arrangements before setting out.
