Read the changing architecture

The castle’s Gothic beginnings were reshaped through later Renaissance and Baroque work. Restoration is part of its story, not a reason to imagine a single unchanged medieval building.

Plan for the interior

Ask the operator about admission, guided visits and accessible areas. Towers and historic stairways may require more effort than the grounds.

Give the day room to unfold

Confirm current opening directly. Allow time for the museum and setting; this heritage page is not a recommendation to travel against current official advice.
