Before you set out

Planning your Bermuda visit

A little planning leaves more time for the places you came to see. Choose a manageable route, confirm your transport and check current entry and local access requirements.

One base can work well

Bermuda is compact, but winding roads and harbour geography shape the journey. Choose a hotel around your priorities and arrange day outings. The map markers identify featured places or representative parish locations, not administrative boundaries.

Match the transport to the day

Check current bus and ferry routes, seasonal changes and the last return. A taxi or arranged group transfer may suit an outing with several stops. Ask about vehicle capacity and luggage before arrival; do not assume a conventional rental car is available to visitors.

Walking, caves and beach access

Historic lanes, cave steps and coastal paths have different access demands. Ask operators specific questions about gradients, surfaces and seating. Wear suitable shoes and follow current local sea conditions rather than relying on a photograph of calm water.

Weather and timing

Keep outdoor plans flexible and follow local forecasts and storm guidance. Confirm which beach facilities, ferries and attractions operate on your dates. Leave time before airport departure for the journey from the actual hotel location.

Entry and reservations

Check entry requirements for your passport and current official advice. Confirm any arrival paperwork through official channels. Ask hotels for complete prices, taxes, cancellation terms and transfers; inclusion here does not establish ATA membership or a booking.
