Before you set out

Planning your Brunei visit

A little planning leaves more time for the places you came to see. Choose a manageable route, confirm your transport and check current entry and local access requirements.

Confirm entry and arrival requirements

Check current immigration, electronic arrival and passport requirements through official channels before departure. Do not assume a regional visa or Malaysian entry permission covers Brunei.

Plan around local observance

Religious visits, Friday prayer and Ramadan can affect services and opening hours. Confirm visitor access and respect dress, food and public-conduct rules.

Arrange transport beyond the centre

Confirm each transfer and the return journey, especially for district visits and forest excursions. Check whether any route crosses an international border.

Book forest activities carefully

Ask about walking, steps, heights, ages, weather and safety equipment. Confirm which permits, meals and transfers are included.

Choose the accommodation location

Kampong Ayer’s suggested accommodation is on the mainland, and the Temburong lodge is outside central Bangar. Ask directly about current rooms, access and rates; listing does not establish ATA membership.
