SEE HOW THE PLACES FIT TOGETHER

Find your way around.

Select a pin or place name to open its guide directly. Gold marks the first-time highlights, teal the places beyond the beaten path.

Orientation only: approximate positions, with leader lines separating nearby places. Boundary data: Natural Earth, public domain ↗. Denmark shown for orientation. Not a road or transport map; this first selection does not cover every region.

Build your own journey

Places to combine in one trip.

Capital, castle & fjord

Give Copenhagen its own stay, then choose Roskilde and Helsingør as contrasting history chapters. Each deserves a substantial visit rather than a single-day circuit of both.

Art cities & a small-town bay

Combine Odense’s literary story with Aarhus’s art and urban history, then slow down in Ebeltoft. Plan the regional connection to Djursland separately.

Jutland at a different pace

Choose Ribe for early history and tidal-country outings, then give northern Aalborg and Skagen separate stays with real travel time between them.

These are route ideas, not packaged tours or confirmed transport schedules. Adjust the number of stops and nights to your pace; separate transfers need time of their own.

A FEW USEFUL ESSENTIALS

Before you travel.

Plan the entire journey

Use the national planner for the exact date, including the local bus and final walk. Islands and regional towns can need more than one connection.

Rejseplanen →

Check the museum’s season

Living-history programmes, boat trips and Tivoli have date-specific arrangements. Book the experience you want, not just the town name.

Treat Bornholm as an island stay

Choose the ferry or flight first, then arrange the local connection to Svaneke. Routes through Sweden have their own travel-document considerations.

Let weather shape the outdoor day

Cliffs, tidal flats and northern beaches need current conditions and suitable routes. Keep an indoor alternative for a coastal day.
