A FIRST LOOK · ARGENTINA

Argentina on film

A first impression of Argentina’s landscapes and cultural life. Choose a few regions and allow real travel time between them; a short film cannot show the distances involved in a journey through the country.

SEE HOW THE PLACES FIT TOGETHER

Find your way around.

Select a pin or place name to open its guide directly. Gold marks the first-time highlights, teal the places beyond the beaten path.

Orientation only: approximate positions, with leader lines separating nearby places. Boundary data: Natural Earth, public domain ↗. Mainland Argentina and Tierra del Fuego are shown for this selection; offshore islands and Antarctic claims are omitted. This is an orientation map, not a statement about disputed boundaries.

Build your own journey

Places to combine in one trip.

Capital and waterfalls

Combine an unhurried Buenos Aires stay with a separate Iguazú chapter. Use actual flight and airport arrangements; the transfer day needs time of its own.

Northwest landscapes

Pair Salta with Purmamarca, choosing a few valley and cultural visits deliberately. Add Cafayate as a separate extension when the schedule allows.

Two different Patagonias

Choose the glacier landscape around El Calafate and the maritime setting of Ushuaia, or give the lakes around Bariloche a separate journey. Check the actual seasonal connections.

These are route ideas, not packaged tours or confirmed transport schedules. Adjust the number of stops and nights to your pace; separate transfers need time of their own.

A FEW USEFUL ESSENTIALS

Before you travel.

Respect the distances

Choose a few regions. A map-sized gap can represent a long flight, connection or road journey.

Visit Argentina →

Plan each park visit

Check current trails, admissions and weather through the relevant national park. Boat and ice activities have separate arrangements.

National Parks →

Use the current wildlife calendar

Ask what can realistically be seen in your travel month. Sightings and marine departures depend on nature and conditions.

Keep payment advice current

Exchange rates and payment arrangements can change. Ask your bank and accommodation about current practical options rather than relying on a fixed rate in a guide.
