Village and peninsula

Placencia Village lies at the southern end of a long peninsula. A hotel described as Placencia may be well away from the village; check the precise address before choosing your base.

A day at sea, a day on land

Reef and caye visits depend on weather and boat arrangements. Balance a planned excursion with a day for the village sidewalk, local art and a meal by the water.

Give the day room to unfold

Choose one main outing for each day and leave time for meals and the journey back. Confirm access, transport and any guided arrangements before setting out.
