Aguascalientes travel guide

Aguascalientes offers a compact introduction to inland Mexico: city gardens and museums, historic towns and countryside excursions. Calvillo, Real de Asientos, San José de Gracia and Pabellón de Hidalgo give you several different starting points beyond the state capital.

Choose your starting point

Choose a town before building a route. Calvillo and Real de Asientos are separate outings; trying to collect every stop in one day leaves little time for the streets, food and local stories that make them worthwhile. The state tourism guide below introduces all four Pueblos Mágicos.

Plan the visit around your route

For a short stay, combine time in the capital with one town excursion. Ask your accommodation about current transport and return arrangements, and check festival dates before reserving: an event can change both the atmosphere and availability. If a workshop matters to your visit, arrange it directly instead of assuming it accepts walk-ins.
