Baja California Sur travel guide

Baja California Sur occupies the southern part of the peninsula. For a first visit, our Cabo San Lucas guide connects the Land’s End seascape with Médano Beach and the historic centre of San José del Cabo. These places offer different experiences even within the same broader destination.

Choose your starting point

Decide whether your priority is a beach base, an outing on the water or a town with galleries and places to linger. A hotel described as being in Los Cabos may not be within walking distance of the place you want to visit. Check its exact location and transfers before booking.

Plan the visit around your route

Keep sea conditions part of the daily plan. A scenic beach is not automatically suitable for swimming, and boat trips may change with the weather. Follow posted flags and local instructions. For a longer journey, the official state directory also introduces Loreto, Santa Rosalía and Todos Santos; allow proper travel days between bases.
