Coahuila travel guide
Coahuila’s Saltillo guide combines desert science, historic architecture and the art of the sarape. This is a different kind of Mexico visit from a coastal resort stay: museums and a city centre provide context for the landscapes and craft traditions of the region.

Start with the Museo del Desierto if you want a broader introduction to the region’s natural history. Give the museum its own time, then plan a separate walk through the historic centre and a closer look at Saltillo’s textile heritage. These interests work well together without rushing between distant locations.
Plan the visit around your route
For a wider state journey, consult the official directory for places such as Arteaga and Cuatro Ciénegas. They should be planned as distinct outings with their own travel and access arrangements. Confirm any reserve or activity rules directly; photographs of pools or desert landscapes do not establish where swimming or independent entry is allowed.
