Durango travel guide
Durango’s attractions include the Ojuela mining landscape and the rock formations around El Saltito waterfall. They offer very different days: one centres on industrial history and a suspension bridge, while the other is a natural landscape whose appearance depends on water and weather conditions.

At Ojuela, establish which parts of the site and mine are open, what a guided visit includes and whether the bridge is suitable for everyone in your party. A photograph of a dramatic crossing is not enough information for someone uncomfortable with heights or uneven surfaces.
Plan the visit around your route
For El Saltito, confirm access, local guidance and conditions before setting out. Do not infer that swimming or approaching an edge is safe from a promotional photograph. Plot each attraction on your route and allow realistic road time; the official directory offers additional places so you can build a journey around one area.
